Jacqui & Tim’s Elegant Gatsby-Inspired Wedding | The Robertson Hotel, Southern Highlands

I first met Jacqui and Tim through one of my past brides, Jacqui’s sister, Bec, whose wedding I photographed back in 2018. So when Jacqui reached out a few years later, it was such an honour to be welcomed once again by one of the loveliest families I’ve ever met.

Jacqui and Tim had originally booked me as their wedding photographer years before their big day, but like many couples, COVID had other plans. After two postponements, they finally got to celebrate their long-awaited wedding — and not even the foggy, rainy Southern Highlands weather could dampen the magic of the day.

High school sweethearts, Jacqui and Tim’s story began in their final year together, with Tim later proposing at the same lookout where they shared their first date. Their wedding at The Robertson Hotel was a beautiful reflection of their love — a glamorous Gatsby-inspired celebration where guests dressed in elegant black and white against the hotel’s stunning art deco architecture.

From heartfelt vows and laughter-filled speeches to unforgettable dance moves and emotional moments, their day was filled with joy, warmth, and connection. What I treasure most, though, is the trust this wonderful family placed in me once again to document another chapter of their story — proof that word-of-mouth truly means more than any advertisement ever could.
